I'm hoping to see some Blood Orange and Calves Brains in some dishes, but I'm sure the (secret) participating restaurants will come up with plenty of creative, diner-friendly, zombie-themed plates!
Never been to a Dishcrawl event? You're in for a fantastic adventure. I've been to countless (Dishcrawl: Battledish; Dishcrawl: Paleo; and Dishcrawl: Secret Supper, to name a few)!
To be entered into the giveaway, just leave a comment below with your answer to this question:
If and when the zombie apocalypse does occur, what city will it be in?
Read more about the event here, and stay tuned for the announcement of the winner on Wednesday, October 8!

Atlanta. Not only because The Walking Dead focuses on it but because Atlanta took on the first Ebola Cases and they are in the Top 6 of most funded CDC States- they receive over $200 Million/year in funding.
ReplyDeleteExcellent point!! Thanks for entering!
ReplyDeleteNew York.. The crowding.. a large homeless/transient population that could hinder the recognition of the outbreak and allow a stronger foothold before any real action could be taken. An immense population that is in a relatively small geographic region. A large influx of people from other areas/regions/countries, so lots of possible sources of patient zeros and chances to spread the disease elsewhere. New York State is in the top 3 in terms of CDC monies received. Lots of industrial, medical and research facilities, etc (whether private, public educational, or government run/owned/operated) located in or near the city, so there are lots of opportunities for science gone wrong scenarios. A high terrorist target rating which could make it a likely place for the intentional release of a viral agent.
ReplyDeleteFascinating reasoning! I'm going to NYC next month...let's hope this isn't the case! Thanks for entering!
